So now I am working on my next tutorial.
That isn’t strictly true, this one has been on the go since the end of September, but I haven’t got around to doing the diagrams yet. It’s a tricky one you see. No…not to work, but tricky to make the diagrams for.
For months I was trying to work out how to do a spiral rope with SuperDuo beads. There are lots of patterns out there for seed beads and single-holed beads, but little or nothing for SuperDuos.
So I set about adapting a spiral pattern already well known and quite simple too. It was tricky because of the two holes in the SuperDuos, having to remember to also sew through the SuperDuo added in the previous but one step.
And that is why it’s so tricky to draw the diagrams. The diagrams will have current beads in the step showing on top, which puts the SuperDuo from the previous but one step underneath the current beads…but this is current too!
I may, if I can get a good enough quality one, make a little video to help.
Anyway, I made a necklace and a bracelet, so everything is ready to go except those diagrams.
Wait…I have an idea for a bracelet. Maybe I’ll tackle the spiral another day.
I'm Teresa, the designer and writer of the tutorials you see, and a bead addict.
